We know it is usually #WomanCrushWednesday but this girl is simply an #EveryDayCrush. Eva Padberg is one of Germanys supermodels and has also just launched her interior design collection (Eva Padberg Collection by Ce’Nou & Home24 über Home24.de). We were lucky enough to ask her a few questions:
You just launched an interior collaboration with Home24 “Bohemian Bold” and “Cozy Cocooning” together with your friend Katja Will, a designer. Where did you get your inspiration from?
Our first idea was to create a sort of Mexican beach house ambiance. We wanted colors, combined with natural materials and beautiful patterns. So we basically started researching online and went through tons of magazines and books. We had a pretty clear vision of what the collection was supposed to look like and researching this interior world was so much fun.
What was your part in the design process?
Every piece in the collection was decided over by me and my partner Katja. After we had created the moodboard for the collection and the color scheme was fixed we then started to get into detail design work with the different items.
What is your favorite piece from the collection?
Our wicker Lounge chair La Vieux in combination with our pillows and plaids. It’s the perfect spot to curl up in and read a good book.
You have worked as a model, on TV, as a singer, have published a book, have your own fashion label “CE’NOU” and do a lot of charity work – What is your biggest passion?
It’s the combination of all these worlds that makes life interesting for me. I honestly couldn’t decide on just one of them.
What career step had the most impact on you professional and personal wise?
To move back to Germany even though I was just starting to be successful in New York. NY is still the city of my dreams but when I moved to Berlin I was faced with so many opportunities that it opened up a whole other word, than just modeling for me. I could be a TV host, Musician, get into fashion design and most importantly my husband and I lived now in the same city. Everything came together in a perfect way for me in Berlin.
What skills helped you succeed at all of your jobs?
A good mix of concentrated work and the occasional creative chaos. If you try to control things too much I think you stop yourself from getting better and trying out new things. That’s why I always try to keep an open mind and seek new opportunities.
What is your trademark?
As a model it would probably be my nose. As a person most people would probably agree that I’m down to earth.
Are you more of an instinct or a logic decision maker?
What is your definition of success?
To reach a point in your life were you feel that you made some good choices.
What is the most important thing you have learned in all those years you wish your mid-20-self would have known?
To be more organized on my desktop.
What is the best career advice you ever got?
Always look for synergies and try to think outside the box.
What is your most used emoji?
Thank you, Eva!
